Principal's Message

Hello East Auburn Community School families!

What a busy time of year!  Students have participated in 2 remote snow days now. It's always fun to see all those bright, shiny smiles on the screen and teachers who are doing the very best to deliver a quality educational day via Zoom. My job is always to visit as many lessons as I can on remote days and what always amazes me is the level of engagement from our students!  As always, EACS teachers and students are READY TO LEARN!

I want to take a moment to share a new focus we have for the remainder of the school year.  It starts with the sharing of our school vision:  We are HERE to LEARN!  Although we have had the same vision for many years now, it's time for us to direct our focus on 2 words: HERE & LEARN. On February 1st, we will all meet together in a school wide assembly to discuss how important it is to be HERE (at school) in order to LEARN. Our hope is that we can increase our attendance to meet our goal of 90% or greater on a regular basis!  Families, we need your help to reach this important goal!

Finally, I want to acknowledge all the hard work of students, teachers and families that  contribute their time and talents every day. The results make East Auburn Community School the wonderful place it is.  Did you know that just recently EACS ranked #15 of Maine elementary schools by US News and World Report? Beyond all the amazing teaching and learning, what makes our school so special is what each member adds to our community!  We appreciate YOU!

Looking forward to warmer weather soon!

Best wishes!

~Mrs. Gagne, Administrator
